One Mann's Opinion

Being a third-party isn’t always so bad. Sure it means more people will be involved in any transaction but if you know what you’re doing and you’re good at it, the results will more often-than-not come out flawlessly. Kaled Residential Asset Management is such company.

Third generation owner Ed Kalikow is a prime example of what hard work, patience, and most of all, doing business for the right reasons, can lead to. As President of Kaled Management, Ed oversees 6,500 rental apartments, co-ops, and condos throughout this great City and Long Island. And now Ed is passing those values down to his son, Greg, and his nephew Jordan Platt, who are the next generation at Kaled.

Moving on, in this month’s issue of Mann Report Residential we are featuring two brokers. Deborah Rieders from The Corcoran Group, and Silvana Palazzolo from Prudential Douglas Elliman. Both from prestigious companies that have been around for many years and house some of New York’s finest agents.

This month we are also showcasing some gorgeous buildings. From West Chelsea we have Ohm, from Morningside Heights we have The Douglass, from Central Harlem we have Fifth on the Park, and from Midtown we have West 57th Street by Hilton ClubTM.

In a few weeks The Mann Foundation will be hosting its Fifth Annual Mann of the Year awards. I’d like to remind all my friends and readers that this is a Gala Cocktail—entirely different from what most of you are used to when you’ve attended a Mann Foundation event in the past. Visit www.MannoftheYear.com to learn more about our event and the changes we’ve made.

My staff and I are very excited about this new concept and I hope that you can all be there to share in our excitement. As you all know, our Mann of the Year events are always the talk of the town so if you haven’t already, mail in your R.S.V.P. and let us know if you’ll be attending.

Proceeds from this event benefit the Mount Sinai ADRC (Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center) as we continue our efforts to find a cure for Alzheimer’s.

Until then, I wish everyone a happy spring and look forward to our next issue.

Regards,

Jeff
